Normally each week I write an in-depth streaming guide but I’m quite under the weather at the moment and can only sit at my desk for so long before risking collapse.
So instead of listing off everything new and returning to streaming this weekend, I’ll just point you in the direction of The Killer.
Here’s the trailer:
The Killer is a new assassin movie from director David Fincher, the man behind Seven and Fight Club. (In fact, I just wrote about Seven after watching it for the first time in many years). It stars Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton and clocks in at a very reasonable 118 minutes.
If you’re a Fincher fan, it’s an absolute must-watch. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film is sitting at a respectable 87% with critics and a tad lower with audiences (80%) which is, curiously enough, the opposite of The Marvels which has nabbed a mediocre 61% with critics and a much higher 86% with audiences.
I’ve yet to watch The Killer so this is not a review, just a recommendation. It’s out today and I plan on watching it this weekend. I’ll report back with a review soon, health permitting.
